「帆水母」（Velella）又稱「風中水手」(wind sailors velella)，生長方式似水螅，外型像水母或貝殼，體型約7~10公分，呈亮藍色，特徵有充氣帆狀浮囊以能漂浮，下方有觸手、生殖體（萌芽水母）和營養體（攝食和消化器官） ，而鰭狀結構讓牠們可以隨著風向或洋流到處漂流。
Introduction
以帆水母生物（Velella）成長的過程，設計出的海洋生物燈飾，增添海島飯店內的氣氛，讓前來的遊客能在飯店中有如倘佯在海洋的感覺，除了享受與燈飾互動的趣味而達到舒壓效果之外，更要藉此提醒遊客珍惜自然生物的重要。
These designs are originated in the growth process of “Velella”. The series of products will increase the atmosphere of the island hotel, so that visitors coming in the hotel can feel like in the ocean. In addition to enjoying the interaction with the lighting for reaching the goal of reducing the pressure, the products can also remind visitors to cherish the importance of natural life.

相信許多海島型的飯店，為了在眾多的競爭者中與眾不同成為首屈一指，在裝潢上下投注很多心思與經費，因此為了搭配海島型的裝潢設計，增添海島的氣氛，並讓前來的遊客能在飯店中也能倘佯在海洋的感覺，享受趣味的互動方式，能讓遊客樂不思蜀、流連忘返。
此設計提案，皆以感性、趣味、質感為設計重點。感性的造型，成為飯店大廳中一進入的焦點，即使放在邊緣，也可因燈光的吸引力集結童心未泯的遊客們。
